The 2022 World Series could come to a conclusion Saturday night at Minute Maid Park. The Houston Astros host the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 6 and are one win away from clinching this year's MLB championship.

The Astros took a 3-2 series lead with a one-run victory over the Phillies in Game 5 Thursday. The latest betting odds suggest that Houston won't need a deciding Game 7 to eliminate Philadelphia.

Houston is a -148 favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook to win Game 6. Philadelphia has +126 odds to upset the Astros and extend the World Series for one more game.

Fox will broadcast Game 6 on TV. First pitch is scheduled for 8:03 p.m. ET.

The Game 6 pitching matchup is a rematch from Game 2 in Houston. Framber Valdez gets the start for the Astros. The Phillies send Zack Wheeler to the mound for his second World Series start.

After losing the series opener, Houston was picked up by Valdez. The left-hander gave up one run and seven baserunners in 6.1 innings while striking out nine batters.

Valdez has given up two runs or fewer in all three of his postseason starts. In his final start before the playoffs, Valdez shutout the Phillies in five innings. Valdez has 19 strikeouts in 11.1 innings against Philadelphia this season.

Wheeler gave up five runs, four of which were earned, in five innings. He only struck out three hitters in the Game 2 loss. Philadelphia's right-hander has a 2.67 ERA in five playoff starts.

The Phillies won Game 3 by hitting five home runs off Lance McCullers Jr. Outside of that 7-0 victory, Philadelphia hasn't held a lead in the first nine innings of any other game in the World Series.

Houston blew a 5-0 lead in Game 1 before losing in extra innings. The Astros threw a combined no-hitter in Game 4. Houston broke the series tie with a 3-2 victory in Game 5.

The Astros are hitting .240 in the World Series, compared to the Phillies' .174 team batting average. Houston has scored at least five runs in five of its last seven playoff games.

The Phillies have said that Wheeler is experiencing arm fatigue. His fastball velocity was down in Game 2.

In the 2019 World Series, the Astros went back home for Game 6 with a 3-2 series lead. The Washington Nationals beat Houston twice in a row to win the championship. In seven of the previous eight instances during which a team returned home with a chance to clinch the World Series title in Game 6, they were able to do so.

All signs are pointing to the Astros closing out the series and winning their first championship since 2017.
