  • Sony has announced the free games PlayStation Plus members can enjoy in December
  • These include games for both the PS4 and PS5
  • PS5 owners who are also Plus members will get more perks

The PlayStation Plus games in December for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 have already been announced, and it appears that gamers, especially those who will get their hands on the PS5 soon, will have a lot of fun next month.

All games that will be made available via PlayStation Plus will be free starting Dec. 1 and will stay available until Jan. 4, 2021. Those who get the games during this period can keep them long after, as long as they remain Plus members.

Players are reminded that all games for the PS4 will also be playable on the PS5 via backward compatibility. PS4 players, however, will not be able to play PS5 titles.

Here are the games that will be available for PlayStation Plus members next month, according to the PlayStation Blog.

“Just Cause 4”

This game puts players in the shoes and wingsuit of a daredevil named Rico Rodriguez as he jumps, shoots, flies and shoots again in a fight against the Black Hand. This is an open-world game that lets players enjoy a lot of explosions and mayhem in a fun way.

“Rocket Arena”

This game lets players join others as they shoot rockets against other players in various arenas. A diverse collection of characters, each with unique skills and playstyles, shooting at each other in lively arenas make this a fun shooter to play.

“Worms Rumble”

This battle royale lets up to 32 players engage in a real-time fight to the finish. Players can customize their Worm before heading into battle, equipping them with their preferred gear. PS5 owners will get to enjoy the PS5 version of the game.

“Bugsnax”

This fun game about “you are what you eat” will still be made available for PS5 owners for an extended period of time. Plus members who don’t have a PS5 console yet can at least add the game to their library so they can play it when their new gaming machine arrives.

PlayStation 5 owners who are PlayStation Plus members will also gain access to the PS Plus Collection: a curated library of 20 of the best games the PS4 has to offer, PlayStation Access reported. These games span a variety of genres and are very popular among fans.

The collection includes:

  • “Monster Hunter World”
  • “Final Fantasy XV”
  • “Fallout 4”
  • “Mortal Kombat X”
  • “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End”
  • “God of War”
