A new leak claims that the highly anticipated “Pokemon Sword and Shield” games will be arriving later this year, following a slew of events promoting the said “Pokemon" titles.

According to a Reddit post, “Pokemon Sword and Shield” will be released sometime between Nov. 15 and 20 this year. The redditor who posted the leak, which is in Japanese, said it originally came from 4Chan.

Although the leak included several typographical errors in it, it has gained some amount of traction among redditors and elsewhere on the internet. Game news outlet GameRant even said that the leak’s alleged release date seems to coincide with a few details it claims to know about the upcoming titles.

Interesting details

Aside from a release date, the leak also gives away some information that fans of the “Pokemon” game will be interested in. Here are some of them:

First, the game trailer will be released in May 10, which is just a few weeks from now. Nothing is mentioned about the trailer, except that it will be followed by the unveiling of the game’s box art on May 15 via Corocoro magazine.

Next, there will be a panel at Salt Lake City Comic Con on June 27, followed by another panel at the San Diego Comic Con almost a month later, on July 20. Funko Pops featuring Gen 8 “Pokemon” will be unveiled between these panels, on July 10.

More details will be revealed by Aug. and Sept. There will be a Panel at a PAX on Aug. 29, a “Tokyo Game Show” on Sept. 12 to 14, and the release of another Corocoro magazine feature more reveals on Sept. 15.

Oct. and Nov. are busy months. There’s the New York Comic Con and a promotional tour on Oct. 4, more promotional tours to Europe and the Americas on Oct. 11, PAX Australia and an Australian promotional tour on Oct. 12, and an event for Nintendo and Game Freak at EGX Berlin on Nov. 2.

All of these are capped by the game’s alleged release occurring between Nov. 15 to 20 later this year.

Although the information leaked via the Reddit post seems logical as per GameRant, it’s worth noting that the Reddit post doesn’t consider it as final. The information included there remains unverified, and as such, it’s best to take it all in with a grain of salt.
