After the “Power” Season 6 midseason finale, viewers were shocked to that learn someone shot Ghost, and the main character of the Starz series could be dead. While fans were left with several questions after the cliffhanger ending, series creator Courtney Kemp attempted to address Ghost’s future.

Ghost (Omari Hardwick) was last seen closing his club down for the night. However, Tommy (Joseph Sikora), Tasha (Naturi Naughton), Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.), Dre (Rotimi), Saxe (Shane Johnson), Tate (Larenz Tate), and Paz (Elizabeth Rodriguez) were all armed and appeared to be heading his way.

Ghost was later seen falling from the balcony at Truth with a gunshot wound. Although it looked like he was falling to his death, Kemp told TVLine that fans should not jump to conclusions about the character’s fate.

When asked if Ghost was dead after the “Power” Season 6 midseason finale, Kemp replied, “He got shot. I didn’t see him die. Did you see him die?”

While Kemp wouldn’t reveal when fans would learn the truth about Ghost’s fate, she advised them to rely on their instincts. “If you’re a fan of the show, you probably know how fast you’re going to find out certain aspects of things. I’ll say that the who, and the how here are going to be as important as the what,” she explained.

Although Kemp refused to give away spoilers, she teased where the storyline will be headed once the show returns. “What I will say is that the last five episodes are inspired by ‘Rashomon.’ But I’m not going to say much more than that,” she shared.

“Power” Season 6 expected to return in 2020 on Starz.
