‘Power’ Season 6 Spoilers: Episode 5 Synopsis Released; Watch ‘King’s Gambit’ Promo

Ghost vowed to be the man Angela wanted him to be, but on “Power” Season 6, episode 5, he will try to take out the people, who threaten to get in the way of his mission.

“Tasha (Naturi Naughton) revisits old habits when she begins to recruit soldiers for her new empire,” the “King’s Gambit” synopsis teases. In the Starz promo video, Tasha tells Keisha (La La Anthony) to be careful with Tommy (Joseph Sikora). She warns her friend not to get in over her head like Holly (Lucy Walters) did.

Tasha is trying to start a daycare so she won’t have to depend on Ghost (Omari Hardwick) for money but needs associates to get her business off of the ground. It looks like she may take a trip to her old neighborhood to look for help and will give Keisha some advice in the process.

Will Tasha’s words fix her rift with Keisha, or will the former friends remain at war?

“Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) pulls a ruse on Vincent,” the synopsis for “Power” Season 6, episode 5 says. Tariq believes that he can outsmart the mobster and continuing selling drugs at Choate, but will his confidence cost him his life?

“Proctor (Jerry Ferrara) warns Tommy about a snitch,” the synopsis for the Starz series states. In the “King’s Gambit” promo video, Proctor tells Tommy that they are all connected, and they all have a lot to lose.

Proctor has helped Tommy and Ghost get away with several crimes and could go to down if they are convicted. Proctor knows the feds have a female witness, who could put Ghost in jail for life and run his life. Will Proctor manipulate Tommy into getting rid of the threat?

“Ghost plans to take care of the snitch on his own terms,” the synopsis for “Power” Season 6 reveals. In the previous episode, Ghost reluctantly teamed up with Dre (Rotimi) to convince Saxe (Shane Johnson) that he gave up his life of crime for a legitimate career.

However, Dre was secretly giving details about Ghost to Saxe to bring the former kingpin down. Will Ghost kill Dre for betraying him, or will he shift his focus back to the feds’ eyewitness?

“Power” Season 6, episode 5 airs on Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT on Starz.
