President Joe Biden turned 80 years old on Sunday. Biden is the only president to reach his 80s while in the White House.

The president, the first lady and family members celebrated his 80th at a White house brunch Sunday, according to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Biden was 78 at the beginning of his term which was also already older than all other presidents. In an interview last month, he said that it was "totally legitimate" for anyone to be concerned about age, but he believes he is not slowing up.

"I think it's a legitimate thing to be concerned about anyone's age, including mine. That's totally legitimate. But I think the best way to make the judgment is to, you know, watch me. Am I slowing up? Am I — don't have the same pace?" Biden told MSNBC's "The Sunday Show" host Jonathan Capehart.

Biden's birthday comes after his granddaughter Naomi's wedding Saturday on the South Lawn of the White House. It was the 19th wedding in the history of the White House.

Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and others said happy birthday to Biden on Twitter.

"I would like to wish President Joe Biden a very happy birthday! I am glad to call him a friend. He is a true leader and will continue to steer our country in the right direction! Happy Birthday, Mr. President!" Jackson Lee said.

"Happy Birthday,@POTUS! Thank you for your commitment to making lives better for American families and workers," Buttigieg said.
