Prince Charles reportedly had a cruel nickname for Princess Anne’s ex-husband.

There are rumors that the Prince of Wales and Royal Princess are really not close and have been feuding for years. They remain civil, so their alleged rift wasn’t evident.

In Channel 5’s documentary “The Royal Family: Affairs and Infidelities,” Majesty magazine editor Ingrid Seward spoke about Princess Anne and her ex-husband, Mark Phillips.

Phillips is reportedly a “very good looking man” that he looked like an “Adonis on a horse.” So, it’s understandable why Princess Anne fell in love with him.

Princess Anne and Phillips don’t have much in common. Between the two, the royal is brighter and more quick-witted. On the other hand, Phillips was just someone who was lovely on a horse but a bit dull when he wasn’t, which led Prince Charles to give Princess Anne’s ex-husband a cruel nickname.

“It was said to me that Prince Charles christened his brother-in-law ‘Fog’ because he was dense and thick – not much going on,” royal correspondent Richard Kay explained.

He added that Prince Andrew and Prince Edward were very young then and used to have a joke about it. He added that the royal family was not terribly kind to Phillips.

Matthew Kirkham, a journalist for Express, described Prince Charles and Princess Anne’s relationship as “combustible.” According to him, the royal siblings were very different.

The heir is “meek” and “defensive.” On the other hand, Princess Anne is “stubborn” and “strong-willed.”

One time Princess Anne had a confrontation with a group of anti-bloodsports protestors during a fox hunting. The Royal Princess didn’t back off until the taxpayers questioned her who’s paying her to do so and reminded her that they do it. Prince Charles reportedly “groaned” when he learned about the said encounter.

In related news, Prince Charles’ second wife Camilla Parker Bowles was reportedly furious when she learned that her first husband Andrew Parker Bowles dated Princess Anne. The royal and Camilla’s ex-spouse had a torrid affair after they split.

Although Andrew was not nice to Camilla, she was determined to marry him because she wanted to be the wife of a handsome cavalry. At the time, she had no intentions to be the Princess of Wales or Queen.
