Prince Charles reportedly thinks one of the things he has to do as a member of the royal family is a “bother.”

The Prince of Wales is known to hate a handful of things and having to constantly raise money is one of them. In the ITV documentary “The Royal Restoration,” Alan Titchmarsh followed the future King’s journey while buying and renovating an old stately home in Scotland.

Prince Charles provided jobs to hundreds of previously unemployed individuals when he had the Dumfries House in Ayrshire renovated. He also managed to save a priceless furniture collection from getting auctioned off by purchasing it.

In order to fund the renovations, Prince Charles loaned £20 million ($24,935) from his charitable foundation. He also worked had to work hard to make sure that he would be able to return the loaned amount.

Prince Charles was asked whether or not he minds having to constantly raise money for his project, and he said yes.

“Yes, it’s an awful bother, but there we are. But if you can, I mean all I want is to help in all sorts of different areas, so it’s badly needed and while I can go on doing it I shall have to,” he said.

Meanwhile, constantly raising money is not the only thing that Prince Charles dislikes. The heir to the throne also hates it when people praise him because he thinks it’s embarrassing.

While speaking with Express, royal expert Robert Jobson said that the Duke of Cornwall finds it difficult whenever he’s praised.

“He doesn’t understand why people even praise him. I think there are a lot of things that niggle him, which he has made very public in the past… You know, certain types of architecture and attitudes to education and things like that,” Jobson said.

Prince Charles also reportedly hates the Buckingham Palace. A source previously said that the royal is not a fan of the big house.
