Prince Charles has a wonderful relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles, but the same cannot be said about the Duchess of Cornwall’s sister.

In the documentary “The Royal Restoration,” it was revealed that the future King got into arguments with Camilla’s sister Annabel after he hired her as her chief interior designer.

To date, Annabel has already designed 12 Duchy of Cornwall cottages, and she was also in charge of renovating the Dovey Castle in Devon. Annabel also led a project where the run-down barn building in the grounds of Dumfries House in Ayrshire, Scotland, was converted into an upmarket guesthouse.

While speaking in the ITV documentary, Annabel said that Prince Charles knows exactly what he wants, and he’s not afraid to make it known. He is also very involved, and he wants his suggestions to either be taken into consideration or to be followed thoroughly.

“He’s looking at every piece of material – ‘What is this for?’ ‘Is that for a chair?’ ‘Where’s that sourced from?’ ‘Has it got nylon in it?’ He doesn’t like duvets,” she said.

Annabel acknowledged the fact that even the smallest details are still important to Prince Charles. And as such, they would sometimes get into arguments.

“He will look at everything… His eye for detail is quite extraordinary… I don’t think I’ve ever worked with anybody who is so interested in the detail… I’ll say, ‘I really think actually…’ So we’ll definitely have a good, healthy [debate]. He doesn’t just agree or disagree,” she said.

Annabel revealed that Prince Charles is not a fan of widescreen TV because he thinks it could spoil the look of the room. However, a television set is a must in the upmarket guesthouse that he purchased.

Camilla’s sister came up with a compromise by placing a TV inside every room but making sure to also include plants and lamps in front of the television. After the issue with the TV was settled, Prince Charles noticed that rugs were missing in the guesthouse, and Annabel quickly assured him that new ones will be installed.
