Prince Harry has three hilarious nicknames that are inspired by fictional characters.

Abbie Llewelyn, a journalist for Express, said that one of Prince Harry’s nicknames is Potter, which is a reference to the popular character Harry Potter. His second nickname is Flash, which is inspired by the fictional superhero The Flash. And he is also known as Gromit, which is a nod to the fictional dog.

Prince Harry’s full name is Prince Henry Charles Albert David. His surname is Mountbatten-Windsor, but he used the surname Wales while he was in the army. The Duke of Sussex isn’t the only member of the royal family who has unique nicknames.

His wife, Meghan Markle, was called flower by her mom and bean by her dad. Prince Charles fondly calls the “Suits” alum as Tungsten. Kate Middleton also has a hilarious nickname for Prince William, which is a baldy.

A source told The Sun that the nickname came about after the Duke of Cambridge complained about his wife’s endless mane of hair. To fire back at him for having thinning hair, the mom of three started calling the future King as a baldy.

While Middleton and Prince William were still dating, she called her then-boyfriend Big Willy. In return, Prince William called Middleton DoD or Duchess of Dolittle.

“The Royals are not very good at communicating with one another so this is another way around it. Nicknames are a way of taking the family tension out of things. They can also be a rather childlike family,” the source said.

Meanwhile, the members of the royal family also reportedly have secret code names that are in place due to some security concerns. Middleton and Prince William are known as Danny Collins and Daphne Clark, names that come from their initials as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince Harry and Markle are known as David Stevens and Davina Scott, names that are inspired by their initials as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“Nicknames for the Royals may seem like a bit of fun. But they do sometimes use them to identify one another while not making that information public,” a second source said.
