Prince Harry reportedly made a joke about swimming briefs in the letter that he wrote to his pen pal.

After winning at Wimbledon, the Duke of Sussex wrote a letter to Australian Paralympian Dylan Alcott. In the letter, Meghan Markle’s husband referenced the heatwave in the United Kingdom.

7 News Sydney presenter Michael Usher talked about the exchange between the two men and said that it seems Alcott has a pen pal.

“He received a note from Prince Harry congratulating the Australia Paralympian on his recent Wimbledon win. The Duke signed off asking if Alcott wore his Invictus Games budgie smugglers, joking that he had come in handy during the recent British heatwave,” he said.

On his Twitter account, Alcott also shared a photo of Prince Harry’s letter to him. In his caption, he declared that he and Prince Harry are pen pals. The Duke of Sussex’s letter to Alcott was dated July 31.

“Dear Dylan, I wanted to pass on my congratulations on your recent win at Wimbledon and your most popular new talent award! Thank you for the special contribution that you made to share the stories of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women on the Invictus Games Today show… Your achievements are extraordinary, and the impact you have had in raising awareness and changing perceptions of disability is really inspiring,” Prince Harry wrote.

Towards the end of the letter, Prince Harry joked that his budgie smugglers or his swim briefs have come in handy during the ongoing heatwave in the UK.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry has always been known as the joker among the members of the royal family. Royal fans are also convinced that the Duke of Sussex is not as academically inclined as Prince William but the former is definitely the fun one.

“Harry did not excel academically as much as William did but we now know it’s because in part due to trauma as a result of his mother’s death. He did excel in the military where he had to train for a long time to be able to pilot several exceptionally difficult helicopters – something the military does not allow lowly educated people to do,” Melissa Marshall said on Quora.
