Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement may be happening soon.

Royal family biographer Sally Bedell recently said that she believes that Markle talking about her relationship with Prince Harry in a recent interview could be an indication that a potential engagement is imminent. "I'm pretty certain that cover story was done with the knowledge, if not the blessing, of Kensington Palace, maybe in coordination with Buckingham Palace and Clarence House, too," Bedell told USA Today.

"I can't imagine [Markle] would go off on her own and do something like this — at the very least she had Harry's blessing. That's a pretty strong likelihood it could be a prelude to something serious, based on the tenor of what she said. Basically, she said, 'Watch this space,'" she added.

Earlier this month, the "Suits" star sat down with Vanity Fair for an interview for its October issue, where she opened up about her relationship with Prince Harry. "We're two people who are really happy and in love," Markle told the mag.

Meanwhile, Markle and Prince Harry's engagement rumors intensified when the lovers headed to Africa to celebrate the former's 36th birthday earlier this year. Multiple sources claimed that the royal has been planning to pop the big question during their vacation because the place is significant to him. Prince Harry, 33, reportedly considers Botswana his "second home."

When the pair returned home from their three-week getaway, however, Markle was not seen wearing an engagement ring. Another source then claimed that the couple reportedly wanted to keep their engagement private for a couple of weeks. "Harry said he would want to enjoy the news between the two of them before word starts spreading out," an insider said. "This has really been the trip of a lifetime."

Whether or not they are planning on marrying soon, there is no doubt that Markle and Prince Harry's relationship is getting serious. In fact, the duke has reportedly been pulling rank to have his girlfriend skip the queue at the airport whenever she visits him in London.

Prince Harry also takes every opportunity to visit and be with his lady love. He even recently visited Markle on the set of USA Network's "Suits." The actress reportedly gave her beau a tour and introduced him to the crew.

In addition, on Monday, Prince Harry and Markle made their first public appearance as a couple at the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto. The pair held hands as they made their way to a Paralympic-style wheelchair tennis event.
