Meghan Markle and Prince Harry want to spend some time away from the public.

According to royal biographer Katie Nicholl, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are retreating from the spotlight this summer and won't be back on duty until September. Prince Harry and Markle need this break following her dad's latest round of debacle.

According to the insider, the couple is spending more time in the Cotswolds. They reportedly want some private time together.

"They spend a lot of time in the Cotswolds, more than people realize. They are in the country way more than they are in London and they are enjoying a low-key and very domesticated start to married life," Prince Harry and Markle's friend said. "Harry's not around that much anymore. Meghan likes him to keep his diary clear at the weekends so they can be together in the countryside."

Prince Harry and Markle are reportedly renting a farmhouse cottage on the Great Tew Estate. An insider said back in May that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a two-year leased for a home in the area.

"It's very clear they want to be private and left alone," one local told Nicholl. "The property is in the middle of woodland and you wouldn't know it was there. It is very remote which is why they like it. It's like a fortress. There's a huge security presence, you can't get close."

Prince Harry and Markle were last seen at the Sentebale Polo Cup in Windsor. Just like Princess Diana and Prince Charles, the couple shared a kiss after the Polo match. However, according to an insider, the couple was keen not to be photographed.

"It was quite clear that they didn’t want the press anywhere near them," a photographer said. "They were photographed on the red carpet and at the end of the match, but they wanted to be left alone the rest of the time even though this was a major charity event for Harry with a big international press presence."

Prince Harry and Markle will be joined by Prince William and Kate Middleton at Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenk's wedding on Saturday. It would be the fab four's next reunion and the day is extra special as it would be the Duchess of Sussex's first birthday as an official royal.
