Meghan Markle's family drama continues, but she has found great friends in the person of Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth II.

According to Robert Lacey, a historical consultant for "The Crown," the Duchess of Sussex's friendship with the Duchess of Cambridge and the Queen stands out at this time.

"What's characterized these months are the two great relationships that she has struck up with the Queen and with Catherine," Lacey told People. "They seem to be her closest friends and partners in the official set-up."

Lacey also mentioned Markle's relationship with the monarch by noting Prince Harry's statement earlier about the former "Suits" star and Her Majesty's corgis.

"Harry gave the clue to it when in the [engagement] interview he talked about how well the corgis had taken to her instantly. That seems to be a metaphor for the Queen and everybody else has taken their cue from that," the expert continued.

The two duchesses' great relationship has been apparent when they stepped out together at Wimbledon. Also, according to a source, Middleton has been Markle's "pillar of support" at this time.

"Kate's well aware of what Meghan is going through. Her family has been dragged through the tabloids and she knows it's not nice. She's made a big effort to be kind to Meghan and look out for her," a source told Katie Nicholl.

Another insider also claimed that Middleton exerted effort to help Prince Harry's wife. "It's a friendship that is still slowly blossoming," the source said. "Kate has gone out of her way to be friendly to Meghan, and Meghan has been very grateful for that."

In related news, Middleton's citrine ring is not a push present from her royal husband, Prince William.

When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge came to Wimbledon and watched the men's final, Middleton stunned in her yellow dress, but fans were more interested in her citrine ring. There were rumors that it was a push present from Prince William.

According to Harper's Bazaar, royal fans did some digging and learned that Middleton owned the ring for a decade already. The publication shared a photo of Middleton wearing the same citrine ring during a night out with her sister, Pippa. The publication concluded that the luxurious ring wasn't a push present from Prince William after Prince Louis' birth.
