Prince William and Kate Middleton pushed back their visit to Australia due to coronavirus fears.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to visit Australia. However, the royal couple is reportedly pushing back their upcoming royal tour due to COVID-19.

Prince William and Middleton will be visiting Australia after a devastating bushfire hit New South Wales and Victoria. However, the palace is reportedly reviewing the royal couple’s travel pans and may even cancel it due to coronavirus outbreak which already affected over 100,000 people worldwide, New Idea reported.

Prince William joked about the disease in his recent tour of Ireland.

“I bet everyone’s like: ‘I’ve got coronavirus, I’m dying’, and you’re like ‘no, you’ve just got a cough,’” the duke said.

“Does it seem quite dramatic about coronavirus at the moment? Is it being a little bit hyped up do you think in the media? By the way, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are spreading coronavirus! Sorry!” he continued.

Prince William wasn’t the only royal who joked about coronavirus. Camilla Parker Bowles also joked about it when she and Prince Charles visited London Transport Museum.

Royal expert Chris Shipp shared a snap of the duchess during the visit on Twitter.

“‘I’m self-isolating’ laughs the Duchess of Cornwall as she steps into a one person air raid shelter at the [London Transport Museum],” the caption read.

Camilla’s joke received mixed reactions from the netizens. Many agreed that it was funny. However, some slammed the royal for joking about the contagious disease.

“She's got good sense of humour, fair play,” @PeterDa38110814 opined.

“Not a fan of camilla but good effort with this,” @ChrisWaters1985 wrote.

“No doubt some will get buffy but it's good to try & get a balance otherwise we are doomed,” another user wrote.

In related news, the Queen reportedly needs Middleton to avoid a “disastrous” reunion with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The royal family is expected to make a joint appearance with the Sussexes after they renounced their title on Monday for the Commonwealth service.
