Prince William reportedly uses a clever parenting technique in raising his three children, and it’s something that he learned from Princess Diana.

Martina Bet, a journalist for Express, said that Prince William always goes down on one knee to explain to Prince George and Princess Charlotte what’s going on during their public engagements.

The same tactic was employed by Princess Diana when she was still alive, and she brought Prince William and Prince Harry to high-profile ceremonies. A source told People, “William can do all the things that he thinks are important for family life and make sure that his children have that loving, caring, fun home that his mother was trying to create.”

Ingrid Seward, a royal expert and the author of Majesty magazine, said that Princess Diana was the first member of the royal family to crouch down to see her children at an eye-level.

“The Royal Family used to say that everyone had to be deferential to them but Diana believed, ‘If you’re speaking to a very young child or a sick person, get yourself on their level,” Seward said.

During their previous interview, Prince William and Prince Harry said that they want to be like their late mother as a parent.

“She was one of the naughtiest parents. She was very informal and really enjoyed the laughter and fun. But she understood that there was a real life outside of Palace walls,” they said.

The Duke of Cambridge also said that he talks about his mom to his children during their bedtime.

“There are two grandmothers in their lives, so it’s important that they know who she was and that she existed. She’d love the children to bits, but she’d be a nightmare. She’d come, probably at bath time, cause an amazing scene, bubbles everywhere, bathwater all over the place, and then leave,” he said.
