Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle have been accused of snubbing Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s engagement announcement.

Until today, the royal couples have not yet posted a congratulatory message to the couple on their respective social media accounts. The immediate members of Princess Beatrice’s family were quick to share their touching messages for the 31-year-old royal and her fiancé.

Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, and Princess Eugenie all posted something on their respective social media accounts. But by the looks of it, the lack of posting from the Cambridges and the Sussexes doesn’t mean that they purposely snubbed the happy news.

Markle and Prince Harry are currently in South Africa for their first overseas tour as a family. The royal couple is busy with their daily activities, and they are also tending to their 4-month-old son, Archie.

Prince William and Middleton also stepped out for a royal engagement the morning that Princess Beatrice’s engagement was announced. This means that the royal couple was also very busy during that time.

It is also important to note that it is very rare for the Cambridges and the Sussexes to post a message of congratulations directed at their relatives. They only do this for their immediate family members such Prince Charles, Camilla, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, and each other.

Sussex Royal and the Kensington Palace Instagram accounts are used exclusively as a platform where the couples could update their millions of followers about their tours, engagements, activities, children, and personal lives.

Additionally, the royals have a group on Whatsapp, and it is possible that this is where they congratulated Princess Beatrice and Mozzi.

Meanwhile, since Princess Eugenie is not considered as a working royal, she could sometimes post congratulatory messages for Prince Harry and Markle. She shared the couple’s photo on Instagram after they introduced their son to the world. This is because Princess Eugenie’s social media account is personal and not official.
