Princess Beatrice will reportedly tie the knot with her boyfriend, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, next spring, according to a royal insider.

The news came from royal expert Ingrid Seward. The expert told Hello! magazine that a member of the royal family shared the news with her. However, Seward didn’t expose the identity of her insider.

“I think a wedding as early as next spring or summer is likely,” she said.

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice’s upcoming wedding to Mozzi won’t be as huge as the wedding of Prince William and Prince Harry. After all, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson is ninth in line to the throne.

As such, she doesn’t need to ask permission from Queen Elizabeth II to marry her current boyfriend. Additionally, it wouldn’t necessarily matter if the Queen likes or dislikes Princess Beatrice’s boyfriend because the monarch won’t have too many interactions with him.

Princess Beatrice is not a working royal, which means that her future husband won’t also be a working royal. When her younger sister, Princess Eugenie, tied the knot to Jack Brooksbank last year, the Queen didn’t even give the couple royal titles.

The same could be expected from Her Majesty after Princess Beatrice and Mozzi tie the knot either this spring or next summer.

According to Seward, even though Princess Beatrice isn’t required to ask the Queen’s permission for her to get married, she must have informed her grandmother that she’s already engaged.

“It’s possible they wanted to tell the Queen that Beatrice was engaged. They have to find a gap in her diary before they name the day and this would have been the ideal opportunity to discuss it,” she said.

But as of late, Princess Beatrice and Mozzi have not made an announcement yet. By the looks of it, if the couple is really engaged, they will release a statement in the coming weeks.
