Princess Diana is usually prim and proper in public and during her royal engagements. But the late royal breaks all of her walls when she’s out with her sons.

In a series of throwback photos of the trio, Princess Diana makes wacky and hilarious faces during interviews and whenever she’s with Prince William and Prince Harry.

During one of her interviews, Princess Diana is seemingly filmed from behind the scenes. She is reading through a couple of pages and she covers her face at one point. Princess Diana then makes a funny face while talking to the other person in the room.

In one black and white photo, Princess Diana places her hands over her head in an attempt to make a child laugh. The mom of two is smiling from ear to ear while repeating the gesture.

During another interview, Princess Diana gives Prince William his toys. Prince William seemingly sucks his toys, and Princess Diana tries to pull it away from her son’s mouth. Princess Diana made a hilarious face that made her look grossed out by what her son is doing.

And by the looks of it, her sons also inherited Princess Diana’s habit of making hilarious faces in public. During one of their outings, Prince William looked straight into the camera with a huge grin on his face.

While they were at Disneyland, Princess Diana rode one of the rides with Prince Harry. The mom and son duo couldn’t contain their happiness that they also gave out hilarious faces in front of the camera.

Unfortunately for Prince William and Prince Harry, they can no longer take photos with their mom in the present day. Princess Diana passed away following a fatal car crash in Paris on Aug. 31, 1997.

Following her death, Prince William and Prince Harry made it their mission to make sure that their mom’s legacy would continue to live on.
