Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson were questioned by authorities when they preparing to pull a prank on Prince Andrew.

In 1986, Princess Diana reportedly organized a Hen Party for the Duchess of York. However, she and Ferguson later on decided to crash Prince Andrew’s Stag Do.

The Princess of Wales and Duchess of York along with two other friends dressed up as policewomen but got into trouble with the authorities for causing a scene outside Buckingham Palace, Town and Country first reported.

After the misunderstanding was straightened out, the four decided to go out to society club Annabel’s. Upon arrival, they were mistaken for “kiss-o-gram” girls, or those who dress up as a character and go to parties and kiss people.

According to Lewis Louis, the manager of the club, at first glance, they thought there seemed to be a police raid, but then the guests quickly jumped to the conclusion that they were just “kiss-o-gram” girls.

Princess Diana and her friends were told that one or two were fine but four of them was a bit of an embarrassment to others.

“One of the four apologised for the fact that there were so many of them and promised, ‘We’ll be leaving soon’,” Louis recalled.

“They were perfectly disguised and certainly had us fooled,” he added.

Later that night, they locked Prince Andrew out of the Buckingham Palace gates when he returned from his bachelor party.

Princess Diana and Ferguson were very close. In fact, they were best friends. Reports have it that it was Princess Diana who introduced Ferguson to Prince Andrew.

They were seen attending polo matches and enjoying vacations together. However, the two had a falling-out when the Duchess of York claimed that she got a verruca after borrowing the princess’ shoes. Princess Diana was upset because Ferguson already promised to not talk about her in public.

Also, Ferguson’s bubbly attitude and happy disposition became an instant hit to the royal family after she married Prince Andrew. Princess Diana and Ferguson were often compared because they were very different but the comparisons favored the latter.

At one point, Prince Charles reportedly told Princess Diana why she couldn’t just be like Ferguson who displayed enthusiasm instead of displaying “droopy silences.”

“In some ways, the arrival of the Duchess of York made her life less bearable,” author Andrew Morton said about Princess Diana’s life after Ferguson joined the royal fold.
