Princess Diana helped save the declining monarchy many years ago, experts claim.

In the Netflix documentary “The Royals,” the Princess of Wales’ former butler Paul Burrell discussed the life of his former boss starting from when she first joined the royal family.

He said that Princess Diana was introduced to the world during a romantic, fresh, and new time for the royal family. At that time, the monarchy was on a decline, and her arrival helped save its status.

Princess Diana became very much involved in the family of her ex-husband Prince Charles, and this helped boost their popularity and lifted them up. After marrying Prince Charles, Princess Diana became widely known as the People’s Princess because of her fun and charming personality.

Katie Nicholl, a royal expert, said that people have not seen the likes of Princess Diana when she first joined the British clan. The mom of two was just a stunner. And as soon as her engagement to Prince Charles was announced, the entire world took a huge interest on the Princess of Wales.

However, behind her stunning appearance lied a troubled and broken heart because Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ marriage was far from a fairytale. The couple tied the knot in 1981, but they announced their separation in 1992. Four years later, their divorce was finalized.

Princess Diana also made headlines in August 1997 after it was announced that she passed away following a fatal car crash in Paris. At that time, she was with her boyfriend Dodi Al Fayed, and he also passed away in the crash.

Prior to her death, Princess Diana exposed Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles’ affair during her interview with Martin Bashir for Panorama.

“By the change of behavioral patterns in my husband; for all sorts of reasons that a woman’s instinct produces; you just know. It was already difficult, but it became difficult,” Princess Diana said about her marriage to Prince Charles.

The heir to the throne wed Camilla in a civil ceremony eight years after Princess Diana passed away.
