Princess Margaret wrote a secret letter to her older sister, Queen Elizabeth II after Princess Diana passed away.

The contents of the letter have just been revealed in Netflix’s documentary “The Royal House of Windsor.”

“My loving admiration for you. How kindly you arranged everybody’s lives after the accident and made life tolerable for the two poor boys. I just felt you were just wonderful,” she wrote.

Carly Read, a journalist for Express, revealed that Princess Margaret felt especially proud of the Queen for bowing her head to Princess Diana following her death despite their rift.

Princess Diana and the Queen didn’t always agree with each other. In fact, there was an instance when Her Majesty called the Princess of Wales’ attention for supporting charities that are not necessarily nice and pleasant. Princess Diana opted to focus her life on charities for HIV and AIDS.

The Queen was also furious after she watched Princess Diana’s 1995 Panorama interview with Martin Bashir. In the discussion, the mom of two lambasted the royal family, particularly Prince Charles, who cheated on her with Camilla Parker Bowles.

In related news, Princess Margaret passed away just five years after Princess Diana’s demise. But when she was still alive, she shared a close bond with the Queen. In fact, Town & Country reported that the monarch approved of one of Princess Margaret’s affairs.

The Queen was in favor of her sister’s relationship with Roddy Llewellyn, a landscaper who is 18 years younger than Princess Margaret. Lady Anne Glenconner, one of the Queen’s six maids of honor at the coronation, shared the conversation she had with the monarch years ago.

“After Princess Margaret’s funeral, the Queen, she said, ‘I’d just like to say, Anne, it was rather difficult at moments, but I thank you so much for introducing Princess Margaret to Roddy ‘cause he made her really happy,” she said.

Glenconner previously felt guilty for introducing Princess Margaret to Llewellyn, but she’s glad to know the Queen was supportive of their relationship.
