Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Mark Cerny earlier revealed that the PlayStation 5 would have a custom version AMD Zen 2 CPU. While the PS4’s lead system architect did not go into specifics about the PS5’s computing and processing power, we have a slight idea of what it is capable of. Thankfully, Gaming Bolt recently talked to “Warriors Orochi 4’s” Producer and Director Tomohiko Sho, who explained what the CPU could offer.

At this point, Sony is positioning the PlayStation 5 as a major leap from the PlayStation 4 when it comes to capabilities and hardware prowess. Sony’s next-generation console has a wide range of impressive specs and features. In fact, the Japanese console-maker recently claimed that the PS5 is the world’s fastest console.

"Warriors Orochi 4’s” Producer and Director Tomohiko Sho recently shared that with the dramatic improvements in the processing speed as well as the amount that can be processed, it is possible to achieve larger-scale controls and more advanced AI. The game director admitted that while this PlayStation 5 feature could momentarily make game development challenging, in the long run, he is positive of the advancement in the automation and efficiency of Sony’s next-generation console. Through this, game developers will be able to concentrate more on content and details, Sho stated.

Warriors Orochi 4’s” Producer and Director Tomohiko Sho also talked about the next generation enhancements of both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett will help their games to achieve larger battle simulations. “Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate” is slated to release on Dec 19, 2019, in Japan on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. But, assuming that the PlayStation 5 features backward compatibility, the gaming studio will definitely design the upcoming game so it would be compatible with the upcoming next-generation gaming consoles.

We have already seen the alleged actual image of the PlayStation 5 dev kit, which matches the render released by LetsGoDigital. The render was based on the patent filed by Sony and was once confirmed by a game developer to be the same as the one their studio received from Sony. Expect to hear more news, leaks, rumors, and speculations about the PlayStation 5 between now and its scheduled release window next year.
