Some U.S. stores are reportedly planning on holding one last PS5 sale event before April ends, but hopeful buyers may have to scramble for a shot at getting one of the new consoles.

Target will be releasing a new batch of PS5 consoles at the early hours of Wednesday this week, TechRadar’s Matt Swider has learned. The restock time is allegedly between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. EDT according to Swider and YouTuber Jake Randall, who has also been spreading leaks about possible restock dates for stores across the U.S.

Both Randall and Swider are adamant that Target is set to hold another PS5 sale nationwide according to their inside sources. It’s worth emphasizing that the aforementioned time window is in EDT, and buyers at the West Coast are advised to adjust their clocks accordingly. Swider said his Target contacts usually get notified before any sales can begin, and he mentioned that this wave of sales will be for online-order and pickup only.

Hopeful PS5 buyers are advised to be on alert on Wednesday so as not to miss their shot at taking home a new console. Those who are wondering how to buy a PS5 are advised to follow Swider’s Twitter account to receive the updates by the minute, especially when sales are about to begin. Lucky buyers will have to pick up their order from their nearest Target store as no deliveries are allowed.

Swider said that while 7:40 a.m. EDT is the most consistent time that Target would start selling, the past PS5 drops started at around 7:15 a.m. EDT. For those who don’t want to miss this opportunity, it is best to wake up early as the timing is still somewhat uncertain.

More PS5 units are expected in May, but it’s likely that not all stores will have more consoles for sale immediately. It’s possible that stores like Walmart might spend the first few weeks of May slowly building up their PS5 stock, while other retailers with a more consistent supply chain may continue their regular drops unimpeded.

Sony is currently trying to increase its production of the PS5, but as of the moment, the company is yet to announce any actual boost to their output.
