Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are quickly establishing themselves outside of the royal family, however, they may have to rethink how they are going about it.

According to a recent report from the Daily Mail, Meghan and Harry can no longer use the 'Sussex Royal' label, which may not seem like a huge deal except for the fact that the couple has essentially built their brand around it.

The Duke and Duchess' Instagram and website are just two big examples of how the term has been consistently used in branding for their new lifestyle. The label is even included in the name of their charitable organization, Sussex Royal, The Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The British publication also reported that the parents to nine-month-old son Archie have sought to register Sussex Royal as a global trademark for a range of items and activities, including clothing, stationery, books, and teaching materials.

In addition to jumping the gun on their branding, Meghan and Harry's ambitiousness when it comes to becoming financially independent had some experts concerned they may have breached the terms of #Megxit.

"The agreement with the Queen technically starts in the spring," royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams explained in early February.

The comment came after the famous duo made their first public appearance on Feb. 6 at a JP Morgan event in Miami. It was their first appearance since announcing they would be stepping down as senior members of the royal family in January.
