Queen Elizabeth II favored Princess Anne more than Prince Charles and Prince William for some reasons.

According to Anna Kretschmer, a journalist for Express, the Queen has dedicated her life for royal service. Queen Elizabeth II’s only daughter Princess Anne shares the same dedication, which is probably the reason why the Royal Princess earns more favor from the monarch.

In Marcia Moody’s 2013 book “Kate: A Biography,” the royal author revealed that Princess Anne became a full-time royal when she was just 18 years old in 1969. Her career didn’t stop there, she still won a title at the European Eventing Championship in 1971 and competed on the British team for five more years.

Princess Anne played a significant role in delivering bids, she is the president of the British Olympic Association and has 30 years of experience in international sport.

“Because she is who she is, she never asks for any thanks or praise but she has played a remarkable role in this and it is completely unheralded and largely unthanked,” Moody wrote.

Queen Elizabeth II gave her daughter the title Princess Royal in 1987, a customary but not automatic honorific. Princess Anne continued to prove herself and was even dubbed as the most hardworking royal in 2018.

On the other hand, Prince Charles was already 28 when he completed his military training. The Prince of Wales graduated in 1970 and went on with his military career, training with RAF and Royal Navy until 1977.

Prince William followed his father’s steps and took his time before committing to being a full-time royal. Kate Middleton’s husband became a full-time royal in 2017 when he was already 35 years old. Many were actually surprised because he was expected to take his royal duties sooner.

“In the autumn of 2008, it was announced to much surprise that he was not going to become a full-time royal as many had anticipated,” the royal biographer added.

In related news, some believe that Queen Elizabeth II is keeping the throne from Prince Charles. Her Majesty reportedly wanted the Prince of Wales to be king for a short time as possible due to the mess he made with Princess Diana and Camilla Parker Bowles.
