  • Queen Elizabeth is relying more on Princess Anne and Sophie, Countess of Wessex
  • Prince Philip and the Queen's marriage was deplorable for Henry Channon

Queen Elizabeth is forced to replace Prince Philip with two other members of the royal family.

Even though the Duke of Edinburgh is technically irreplaceable, he has long retired from his royal duties. Prince Philip has been staying out of the limelight since 2017, and he’s only seen on a few occasions when he’s horse riding in Windsor and traveling to and from Sandringham.

While speaking with Express, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said that Her Majesty will be relying more on two members of the royal family and it’s not Prince Charles and Prince William.

“The Duke is probably irreplaceable but Princess Royal, who carries out a huge number of royal engagements and does so with the minimum of fuss and if possible, avoids publicity, would always give practical advice,” he said.

Fitzwilliams also said that the Queen has a close relationship with Sophie, Countess of Wessex, which makes her another obvious choice.

“She enjoys conventional royal pursuits and since early difficulties when she tried to combine being royal and her work in public relations, her record as a royal has been impeccable. She is known to be close to the Queen and recent events will undoubtedly have strengthened this bond,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Queen and Prince Philip also made headlines this week after it was revealed that their marriage was once deplored by Conservative MP socialist Henry Channon.

In the book “Young Prince Philip: His Turbulent Early Life,” author Philip Eade revealed that Channon thought Prince Charles and the Queen’s heritage was very close.

Despite the criticisms, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh pushed through with their marriage. And Expedia representative Sandra Pearson said years later that the options for the Queen to marry someone who isn’t a commoner is limited that’s why she would most likely end up with someone she’s related to.

Prince Philip and the Queen are related to each other through their royal ancestors.
