Queen Elizabeth II proved that she is one of us when she recently rode public transportation to Sandringham.

On Thursday, the Queen was photographed arriving at King’s Lynn Station after taking a public train from London to Sandringham. The monarch spends Christmas with the senior members of the royal family in her Norfolk estate. This is a family tradition for Christmas and New Year.

In the photos shared by Entertainment Tonight, Her Majesty looked cozy in a light brown topcoat with a stylish Burberry headscarf. Queen Elizabeth also wore black gloves and Gucci loafers.

Queen Elizabeth II was seated in first class. However, upon arrival, she walked alongside her security and briefly mingled with the other passengers.

It appeared that Queen Elizabeth II traveled separately from her husband as Prince Philip wasn’t seen with her. Last year, the couple was seen arriving at the station together.

A few days ago, Queen Elizabeth II hosted an annual Christmas lunch to gather her family members and extended relatives. Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle, who are rumored to be feuding, were all present. Camilla Parker Bowles couldn’t make it due to health reasons. Princess Eugenie also skipped the event because her husband was sick.

Initially, there were reports claiming that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would skip Christmas with the royals to avoid the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Royal correspondent Rebecca English said that contrary to reports, the Fab Four will reunite this holiday and spend the occasion together with the Queen.

Royal author Katie Nicholl also told ET that the four will be at Sandringham for Christmas day and will bury the hatchet. She added that Prince William and Prince Harry are still incredibly close as brothers, and they had just a brief falling out.

“Christmas is a good time for goodwill and forgiveness, so let's hope we see the princes do just that,” she added.

Prince William and Middleton used to split their Christmas holidays between the royals and her family. However, this year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will reportedly focus on celebrating the season with the members of the Firm and won’t miss it due to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s advancing years.
