Things are not always as they seem when it comes to Queen Elizabeth II's relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Reports have swirled recently claiming that Harry and Meghan have snubbed the Queen or that the Queen is disappointed with them, but, according to Express, that's far from the truth. Queen Elizabeth has tried to become an ally to the couple as they deal with the pressures of royal life by spending time with them.

As reported by the British publication, the 93-year-old monarch visits the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at their Frogmore Cottage home whenever she's near Windsor Castle. Queen Elizabeth also publically extended her support with a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Wednesday.

The statement also confirmed that the couple will be spending the holidays away from the royal family this year.

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to extended family time towards the end of this month," the statement said (via USA Today). "Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, Their Royal Highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the Duchess' mother Doria Ragland."

"This decision is in line with precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family, and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen," the statement continued. "For security reasons, we will not be providing further details on their schedule at this time."

Although Queen Elizabeth would have dealt with the British tabloids drastically different from Harry and Meghan, it's very clear, based on the latest reports, that she stands by her family at the end of the day.
