Although Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been dating for more than three years, a new report claims “The Voice” Season 16 judge tends to make his girlfriend feel nervous when he attends her performances.

Stefani, began dating Shelton in 2015, following her split from ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. Since the beginning of their romance, the “Cool” singer and her boyfriend have been inseparable, except for when it comes time for her to hit the stage.

HollywoodLife published an article claiming Stefani won’t allow Shelton to watch her shows from the crowd. “Gwen Stefani gets too nervous when performing for Blake Shelton, so every time she performs, he stays backstage,” an alleged source revealed.

Although Stefani has been performing in front of live audiences for years, Shelton’s presence in the crowd is a bit overwhelming.

“It’s funny because Gwen is so outgoing, too! You never see him in the crowd. Blake is really the only one that makes Gwen get like that and Blake thinks it’s so cute and sweet so he’s happy to just watch her backstage when she has shows.”

Shelton also believes viewing the show from backstage will allow his girlfriend to be the center of attention. “He also knows if he’s in the crowd, it makes it more about him then her, and he doesn’t want her to feel that way.”

When Shelton isn’t watching Stefani perform, the couple is busy working on taking their relationship to the next level. Last month, sources told US Weekly the singers “are on the path to getting married,” but first, “there are obstacles they have to deal with.”
