“I’ll lay on the floor and cry or I’ll sit in my car and cry. Sometimes I’m totally overwhelmed,” Witherspoon replied.

When asked what keeps her going, the “Little Fires Everywhere” star said that she really wants to “change things” especially for the younger women in the industry.

Withespoon wants to give them a better experience. She wants them to have a “beautiful idea” of what the future holds for them.

This desire pushes her to get up on her feet and work. Also, she tries to be as positive as possible.

“I will put in the hours and I bet on myself. I’m my own lottery ticket,” Witherspoon said. “I always think that, you know. If no one else shows up, I know I will show up and I know I will do the work.”

The “Big Little Lies” star has also opened up about her mental health with Jameela Jamil. During their conversation, Witherspoon admitted that she’s suffering from anxiety and depression.

In related news, Natalie Portman has shared that she thinks highly of Witherspoon. The “Black Swan” star said that Witherspoon is one of her female inspirations.

“I’ve been so inspired by the many women I’ve met through Time’s Up – like Reese Witherspoon, America Ferrera and Kerry Washington – who are doing such impressive creative work, producing, acting, directing and taking such good care of their families,” Portman said.

Meanwhile, Witherspoon is set to star in two rom-com movies on Netflix. The streaming media signed her to star in “Your Place or Mine” and “The Cactus,” Variety reported.
