After his exit from "Bridgerton," Regé-Jean Page says he is excited about his roles in high-profile movies "Dungeons & Dragons" and "The Gray Man."

The 31-year-old British actor on Tuesday gave his fans some details regarding his roles in the upcoming movies, which are currently under production.

"The thing that has appealed to me most about this career is getting to encounter and interact with the unexpected," Page told Variety. "There are so many different directions that you can take this job. It's not so much about picking one and knowing where I want to go, it's about knowing that there are other ways that I can do this, and continuing to explore that."

Page initially spoke about "The Gray Man," which is helmed by director-duo Joe Russo and Anthony Russo. The Russo brothers' upcoming action thriller also stars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. The big-budget movie is based on Mark Greaney's bestselling novel and is slated to release on Netflix.

"It's been incredible," Page reflected on teaming up with the Russo brothers. "It's just so much fun when you're working with folks who are not just at the top of their game but reinventing the game. It's like a whole new machine."

Page wrapped filming "The Gray Man" in April and started working on "Dungeons & Dragons."

Speaking about his love for gaming and how he prepared for the role, the actor said, "I've listened to a couple of 'Dungeons and Dragons' podcasts in my time. I played a ton of JRPGs [Japanese role-playing games] and basically everything that's come out of it."

"I played a ton of 'Diablo' as a teenager, so I'm used to the fact that I play a paladin — that's just what I do, and I know what that means, to a degree," he added. "I watched my friends play "Baldur's Gate," so I'm like a second-generation "Dungeons and Dragoner." It's a brilliant job. I'm literally paying my mortgage by fighting imaginary dragons."

"Dungeons & Dragons" is slated to release on March 3, 2023, and it also stars Chris Pine and Daisy Head.
