The official website shared spoilers stills and a synopsis for the upcoming episode. The spoilers suggest Roswaal is ready to reveal the secrets of the Sanctuary.

Subaru, Garfiel and Otto meet Roswaal. Subaru tells him he knows the real reason why the Sanctuary was created and wants him to surrender.

Roswaal talks about the beginnings of the Sanctuary and how he met Echidna. In the new episode, Roswaal and Beatrice talk about the importance of Echidna in their lives. However, their meeting is interrupted by the appearance of a man.

Fans can watch "Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World" Season 2, Episode 20 online on Crunchyroll. The episode is scheduled to release Wednesday and will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles.

In the last episode, which is titled "The Permafrost of Elior Forest," Emilia relives her past as viewers finally find out why the Witch Cult is after her.

Pandora, the Witch of Vainglory, reveals Emilia is the key to unlock the seal in Elior Forest. The witch wants Emilia to open the seal and no one will get hurt.

Emilia is shocked to see the key appear but Pandora cannot see it. She tries to convince Emilia to open the seal and things will get better.

However, Emilia remembers the promise she made to her mother about never unlocking it. Meanwhile, Fortuna appears to protect Emilia but later she is killed by Petelgeuse. Both Emilia and Petelgeuse mourn Fortuna's death. Emilia goes berserk and attempts to kill Pandora. Unfortunately, Emilia fails and Pandora promises to return in the future.
