Robin Williams will be joining the blockbuster cast of the Lee Daniels film The Butler, where he'll go bald to play former President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

While Robin Williams is being cast as the former leader of the free world, the story of The Butler won't revolve around him; the film, from the director of the critically acclaimed and Oscar-nominated Precious, centers on the story of Thomas Westphall, a butler for the White House who served eight American presidents over three decades.

British-born actor Alex Pettyfer from the newly released Magic Mike, is cast in the title role.

News that Robin Williams will be playing Eisenhower in The Butler was reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The usually hirsute Robin Williams will be going bald for his next acting gig, since he's just been cast as President Dwight D. Eisenhower in Lee Daniel's The Butler, hollywoodreporter.com reported.

Robin Williams is one of five actors cast as a president in the Precious director's film.

According to The Butler's IMDB page, John Cusack will portray Richard Nixon, Alan Rickman is cast as Ronald Reagan, James Marsden will play John F. Kennedy and Liam Neeson is rumored to star as Lyndon B. Johnson.

Oscar-winning actress Melissa Leo will play Robin Williams' wife in the film, as she's been cast as Mamie Eisenhower.

Jane Fonda is set to star as Nancy Reagan and Friday Night Lights actress Minka Kelly will portray Jackie Kennedy, according to the IMDB page.
