On Tuesday, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Ronan Farrow launched his new podcast.

According to Forbes, "The Catch and Kill Podcast with Ronan Farrow" will serve as "an audio companion" to his 2019 New York Times bestselling book, "Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators."

The limited-run series that Farrow worked on in partnership with Pineapple Street Studios is set to include "brand new, never-before-heard deep-dive interviews" with important figures that the author previously interviewed for his book. Additionally, the new project will expand on his prior reporting about Harvey Weinstein and others to "provide broader context about the powerful systems that cover up sexual misconduct."

As for why Farrow decided to continue his storytelling in a new way, he revealed that he had been forced to cut down his material for the written work. After realizing that that there was "much more to the story," he decided that a podcast could not only provide the audience with a deeper understanding of the material, but would also give him the platform to feature the additional aforementioned details.

Earlier this year, NBC executives were reportedly "bracing for bombshells" following the book's release due to the new details it would reveal, including that there was an alleged "paper trail" proving that the network protected one-time "Today" anchor Matt Lauer.

At this time, the podcast is expected to run for six to eight episodes. However, due to the fact that they are reportedly still in production and have yet to finalize the last entries into the series, a concrete number has not been decided upon.
