Prince Charles is more likely to outlive his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, than die ahead of her.

Some netizens recently talked about whether or not the Prince of Wales will outlive his 92-year-old mother. The members of the royal family are popular for their clean living, especially the Queen. For her age, Her Majesty is still very active in carrying out her royal duties.

The Queen Mother made it to 101, while Queen Elizabeth is turning 93 in April and Prince Philip is already 97. Considering how long previous royals have lived, Prince Charles will likely live as long or longer than his parents.

“Based on the family track record, I’d say that Prince Charles has a good chance of outliving his mother,” Melodie Neal, who works at NetApp, wrote.

Elizabeth Nield, a self-confessed royalty-obsessed fan, said she believes that Queen Elizabeth II is likely to live for the next 10 years or so. This means that Prince Charles will have to wait for a decade or more before he takes over the throne, but she’s positive that the heir will outlive the monarch.

“He seems to be in reasonably good health himself, so I sincerely doubt he’d meet his end before then naturally. Only some disaster, serious illness or other tragedy would carry him off first,” the netizen wrote.

If Prince Charles does die before Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William will take over the throne when the Queen passes away. But many believe that this is unlikely to happen as the Prince of Wales is more likely to outlive the Queen than the opposite scenario.

A number of netizens are convinced that the royals have great “aging” genes, which also has helped Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip live longer than most people.

“Assuming he is in good health, it’s safe to assume that he will live for another 20 years,” another netizen said about Prince Charles, before concluding that “in all likelihood, [Prince Charles] outlive her.”

In related news, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles could give Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby a priceless gift by making the child a prince or a princess. Any of them can issue Letters Patent that would give baby Sussex a royal title.

The monarch and future king are very close to Prince Harry and Markle, so it is possible that this could happen. In fact, when Prince Charles married Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince Harry and Prince William made a special surprise for them.
