The panels also looked like they have the same notch size as the current-generation iPhone 11. However, there is a notable improvement in the screen to bezel ratio in the live images, which could be the pre-assembly appearance of the iPhone 12 model. Despite the use of the hand in the alleged live images, it is still difficult to identify, which iPhone 12 model the panels belong to.

Fortunately, Weibo blogger Digital Chat Station said that the alleged live images belong to the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 model. Based on the blogger’s claim, it appears that the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 model features a smaller notch compared to the 5.8-inch iPhone 11, said Macrumors. Meanwhile, 9to5Mac claimed that the images were edited to remove reflections and traces that could reveal the identity of the person who took the photo or in the photo.

According to Tom’s Guide, the images of the alleged 5.4-inch iPhone 12 show that the Face ID notch are still in the same place as the current generation iPhone series. The size of the notch is the same as the size of the notch found on the iPhone 11 line-up, Digital Chat Station added. While this might not be a big deal to some, others are concern about that the size of the notch occupies the bigger part of the display.
