Actor Ryan Reynolds’ latest big paycheck isn’t coming from films. The “Deadpool” star’s company Aviation Gin was just sold for $610 million.

Diageo announced that they have bought Davos Brands and Aviation Gin. They paid $337 million up front and the rest is contingent on performance, per a press release. However, that doesn’t mean Reynolds is done with the brand. As the gin’s co-owner, he will retain an ongoing ownership interest in Aviation American Gin.

“We’re so excited for the next chapter of Aviation Gin, which, I promise, will require just as little reading,” Reynolds said in a statement.

The deal adds to Reynold’s already impressive bank account. Ryan Reynolds’ net worth is believed to be around $100 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Reynolds was the second-highest-paid actor of 2020, according to Forbes. The outlet says Netflix paid him the most with “Six Underground” and “Red Notice” earning him $20 million each. The streamer is planning to hire him for a third movie this year too. Overall, he earned an estimated $71.5 million last year. That number is before taxes and before fees for agents, managers, publicists, etc.

In addition to films and Aviation Gin, Reynolds also has an ownership stake in Mint Mobile, a wireless service provider.

While Reynolds is certainly bringing in plenty, he’s also giving back some. At the beginning of the global health crisis, he and wife Blake Lively donated $1 million to Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.

He also recently launched The Group Effort Initiative to increase diversity in filmmaking. On Reynolds’ next film, produced by Netflix and Skydance, he intends to hire between 10-20 trainees from marginalized communities.

“These new recruits will be paid and housed out of my salary and will spend their days on set learning from professionals and getting real-life experience that they can then parlay into another job and another job and hopefully a career in the film industry,” he wrote on the initiative’s website.
