Hallmark Channel fans are getting a double dose of Chris McNally this weekend. Before the next episode of his show “When Calls the Heart” airs on Sunday, on which he plays newcomer Lucas, McNally will star in Saturday’s new Countdown to Summer movie, “Sailing into Love.”

Viewers might easily recognize McNally because of his current “WCTH” role and his recent Hallmark movies, like “A Winter Princess” and “The Sweetest Heart,” but his co-star, Leah Renee, is no stranger to the network either.

It’s been a few years since she was last on Hallmark, but she starred in the 2014 movie, “Love by the Book,” with Kristopher Turner, and her most recent onscreen role was 2016’s “A Snow Capped Christmas,” which aired on UPtv.

Now Renee’s back on the network, and she’s teaming up with McNally — so, what can fans expect from their new film, “Sailing into Love”?

According to the synopsis, “When high school biology teacher Claire Richards (Renee) learns that the seaside town of Willow Bay might sell nearby Blue Island to a resort developer, she vows to save it. She finds an unlikely ally in Tom Hastings (McNally), the newly-arrived captain of a charter boat.

“While she has plans to revive a relationship with her ex, who is back in town to attend three weddings in the same month, she finds herself helplessly attracted to Tom, a self-professed adventurer who is unlikely to stick around for long.”

Richard C. Okie and Rosine Courtney Okie came up with the story and wrote the teleplay with Marcy Holland, while Lee Friedlander directed the movie. The cast also includes Fiona Vroom (Christine), Garry Garneau (Jason), Teagan Vincze (Amber), Samantha Kendrick (Bridget) and Matt Hamilton (First Mate Mick).

Enjoy “Sailing into Love” on Hallmark Channel on Saturday at 9 p.m. EDT.
