Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ next month during Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. However, it looks like the upcoming flagship Android phone has already appeared thanks to a short video.

The new video showing off an alleged Galaxy S9 unit first popped up on the Chinese social media website Weibo. The short 10-second clip has also been shared on YouTube, as well. The video was titled as “Samsung Galaxy S9 Touch sensitivity test,” suggesting this might be an actual unit that recently went through actual testing in the production line.

The video is of very poor quality and the top portion of the Galaxy S9 was cropped off. However, it does confirm one feature that’s been rumored for some time now. The video shows that the Galaxy S9 will indeed look pretty similar to last year’s Galaxy S8 with some refinements. As pointed out by Phone Arena, the video shows that the S9 will have a slightly thinner bottom bezel.

Is this video real or an elaborate fake? It’s hard to tell. The video itself appears to be someone recording another screen rather than recording the actual handset, as pointed out by Pocket-lint. The video also shows that the device comes with curved sides and the display comes with rounded corners, much like the Galaxy S8 and S8+. This might actually be everyone’s first look at the Galaxy S9 considering how it has everything fans can expect from Samsung. However, there’s also a chance that this could be fake so fans should still be skeptical.

The Galaxy S9 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor when it arrives in the United States. In other markets, the device will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9810 processor, as pointed out by Android Headlines.

The Galaxy S9 is also heavily rumored to come with some new camera features like super slow-mo video recording. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S9+ is expected to arrive with a dual-camera setup on its back, much like the Galaxy Note 8. International Business Times reported yesterday that Samsung revealed its new ISOCELL camera sensors. It’s now being speculated that a couple of those new sensors might make its way to the S9 and S9 Plus.
