Sarah Ferguson has been rumored to have been welcomed back into the royal fold, so some are wondering if she will be attending Prince Charles' birthday.

The Prince of Wales will be celebrating his 70th birthday in a few days. With reports claiming that the Duchess of York has already rekindled her good relationship with the royal family, she might score an invite to the party.

However, it's also likely that she won't be invited to join the royal family. According to Paul Withers, a journalist for Express, Buckingham Palace didn't confirm Ferguson's invitation as they do not share details of the guest lists for royal events. In addition, Ferguson reportedly has a fractured relationship with Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

It was reported earlier that the Duke and Duchess of York's romance "really riles" the future king. "[Andrew] has been a liability to the Royal Family," Katie Nicholl said on Netflix's documentary "The Royal House of Windsor."

"His relationship with [Sarah Ferguson] is one of the things, I’m told, that really riles Charles. It all contributes together into something that is just not very palatable," the royal commentator added.

In addition, Ferguson was very close to Prince Charles' first wife, Princess Diana. In fact, many believe that they were best friends. Due to her connection to the late Princess of Wales, her relationship with the Duchess of Cornwall wasn't that great.

Earlier this year, Camilla and Ferguson reportedly fought over the People's Princess in Balmoral. The two women were in the Queen's Scotland estate to spend time with her during the summer. However, Ferguson was not able to conceal their long-standing tension after having drinks. She reportedly blamed Camilla for the pain Princess Diana went through.

Ferguson and Princess Diana stopped talking a year before the latter's tragic car accident. However, the Duchess of York continues to mention the late royal in her books.

"Diana was one of the quickest wits I knew; nobody made me laugh like she did," Ferguson wrote in her 2011 book "Finding Sarah". "We took vacations together with our children. Sadly, at the end [of the Princess's life] we hadn't spoken for a year, although I never knew the reason, except that once Diana got something in her head it stuck there for a while."
