KEY POINTS

  • SB19 will be stopping by Los Angeles during the boy band's "WYAT" world tour
  • The group will grace the stage of the historic Avalon Hollywood nightclub
  • Ticket-selling details for the November concert are still unavailable

Fresh from the success of its latest single "WYAT (Where You At)," SB19 is busy preparing for its world tour this year. For the U.S. leg of the tour, the fast-rising pop band from the Philippines will be making a mark in Los Angeles.

During a local media conference in Manila earlier this week, SB19 — composed of Josh, Pablo, Stell, Ken and Justin — revealed some of the venues of their tour stops within the group's home country and overseas.

For the band's U.S. tour, the five-piece musical act plans to bring its brand of Filipino pop music to New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas and San Francisco.

It was previously reported that SB19 will be performing at Palladium Times Square in Manhattan on Nov. 5. Ticket-selling for the event officially opened on Sept. 5 via Ticketmaster.

At the recent media conference, the multi-awarded and Billboard-nominated group announced that it will be performing at Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles on Nov. 12 for its second tour stop in the U.S.

Venues for the other U.S. destinations were not mentioned.

While the "Bazinga" hitmaker would be the first Filipino pop group to grace the stage of the venue, SB19 wouldn't be the first Filipino act to be hosted by the historic live entertainment and special events venue located at the world-famous intersection of Hollywood and Vine.

International Business Times reached out to Avalon, and special events coordinator Trintee Curcio confirmed via email that the nightclub previously hosted Filipino rock band Kamikazee in August 2022. Two other rock bands from the Philippines will also perform at the venue this October for the Razorback x Wolfgang event.

Avalon has always been at the center of Hollywood's nightlife evolution since it opened its doors to the public in the 1920s. Some of the big stars who have graced its stage include Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Prince and Duran Duran, according to its website.

The Hollywood landmark had a meticulous restoration and dramatic upgrade in late 2014 to uphold its distinction of being the most prestigious venue in Los Angeles for live performances and events.

No details on ticket-selling for SB19's concert at the 1,000-capacity premium venue have been released so far. Curcio said more information will be posted on Avalon Hollywood's website soon.

SB19's "WYAT" world tour is part of the group's promotion for its latest single, "WYAT (Where You At)," released on YouTube and different music streaming platforms on Sept. 2. The disco-funk track marked the boy band's comeback more than a year after the release of the group's successful "Pagsibol (Growth)" EP in February 2021.
