The Other Suppression Force is hiding something big, while Kasane fears the new Himuka government is behind her sister Naomi's disappearance.

"Scarlet Nexus" Episode 4, which is titled "Red Strings," is likely to delve deeper into the conspiracy. The promo trailer of the upcoming episode shows Gemma, Yuito, Kasane and the others fight against Commander Karen, who seems to be behind this entire mess.

Episode 3 of "Scarlet Nexus" opened with Kasane waking up in her dream where she meets her sister, Naomi. They shared a moment but suddenly something happened and the sisters were back on the battleground in the middle of an operation.

Something disastrous happened to Naomi and she was transformed into a giant two-faced monster. Soon, the monster started attacking Kasane, Yuito and the other soldiers of the squad.

Soon, Major General Fubuki arrived and the monster disappeared. Kasane was inconsolable as she asked Fubuki about her sister. Fubuki told the squad to keep quiet about the incident. He informed the squad he will report that Naomi died during the operation.

After listening to Fubuki, Kasane went ballistic. However, Gemma told her they have to follow the order of the Major General.

"Something goes horribly wrong with Naomi, leaving her comrades dazed and confused. It's clear there is more to it when they're told to keep quiet. Kasane divulges a shocking secret to Yuito, and the Seto and Kyoka platoons face an unexpected enemy," read the official synopsis of Episode 3, according to Funimation.
