Selena Gomez had a plain and simple response when asked about the viral photos of her with Hailey Bieber clicked on Oct. 15 amid rumors of a long-standing feud between the two.

While promoting her upcoming Apple+ documentary, "Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me," in an interview with Vulture, the singer's response when asked about the decision to pose for the photos with the model at the 2022 Academy Museum Gala suggested there was no bad blood between the two.

"Yeah, it's not a big deal," the 30-year-old told the outlet. "It's not even a thing."

The two were often pitted against each other, both by fans and in the media, over Justin Bieber, Hailey's husband and Gomez's former longtime boyfriend. During the event in October, when photographer Tyrell Hampton requested the two celebrities to pose for photos together, they obliged with a smile.

Hampton shared one of the photos on his Instagram account and it quickly went viral.

The photos surfaced just days after Hailey spoke for the first time about Gomez on the 28th episode of the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, denying rumors that she ever dated Justin at the same time as Gomez, and fittingly encouraged hardcore shippers of Justin and Gomez to move on.

"It's not my character to mess with someone's relationship, I would just never do that," said the model. Gomez seemed to have subtly responded to this, calling out "vile and disgusting" hate on the internet days after the podcast.

Meanwhile, the "Kill' Em with Kindness" spoke to Vulture about her upcoming documentary and revealed it was inspired by Madonna's film "Truth or Dare."

"I've watched it seven times," Gomez said. "I think it's wonderful to see someone in that light—whether she liked it or not, I think she was so available to people."

"I think sometimes in my position, you can be unattainable. But she was so relatable that your heart was with her," she continued.

Gomez also revealed she's working on the follow-up to her 2020 track "Rare." "I am the person who's terrified of what will happen once it's out, so I want it to be really well done and representative of where I am," she said.
