The Shiba Inu community, more popularly known as the Shib Army, has much to look forward we reach the end of September. Aside from the highly anticipated Download Day, the end of this month marks the end of Q3, which was earlier planned to be the launch window of Shibarium documentation.

Based on the latest update from developer Unification Foundation, its "advisory work with Shibarium continues toward the fourth successful alpha and public testnets." The team also said in a blog published mid-September that the Layer-2 solution of the Shiba Inu community is "still in plans for end of the quarter release or sometime shortly thereafter."

Interestingly, the Shiba Inu team has not yet said anything about Shibarium or the launch of its documentation even as we reach the end of Q3. Previously, pseudonymous lead developer Shytoshi Kusama mentioned that prior to Shibarium's official release, they would make its documentation (white paper) publicly available.

Kusama also teased that following the layer-2 solution's rollout, investors will see the full potential of Shiba Inu, adding, "I'm doing my best. After Shibarium, then we will really see the power of SHIB." During their recent participation on the Official "Shiba Eternity" Community Discord on Sept. 22, Kusama, when asked about Shibarium documentation and told that the community "need[s] this," said they "understand the need. It's a balance of security, fixing things and the docs will be there. Trust me, I understand."

So when can the community expect the Shibarium documentation? As of now, the only answer the team gives is "soon," which is a safe and vague answer. Although on Discord, Kusama said, "It's almost time," and when asked what they were referring to, they answered "Shibarium."

In another screenshot shared by former Shiba Inu Growth member and now social media influencer @GossipShib, Kusama was asked if Shibarium is no longer happening in Q3, to which the pseudonymous lead developer replied, "i'm doing my best not to give dates, but that doesn't mean we won't hit it."

The Shiba Inu team has always been straightforward concerning its upcoming projects and does not give out specific timelines ever since. For instance, On Sept. 22, Kusama was in Discord but did not say anything about when Shiba Eternity's Download Day would take place. Instead, the announcement was made on Twitter Spaces a few hours later, which actually came as a surprise to everyone.

It is safe to assume that Unification will make an announcement about Shibarium's initial public beta testnet in the coming days. During this stage, Unification explained that the team would focus on "the developer/delegator sector in order to enable a robust and ready network to serve the Shib Army once ready."

The dev also said that the Public beta will "allow a much wider opportunity for open testing and bug fixing, ensuring a secure and streamlined mainnet launch." Unification added that the testnet will be open to any validator wishing to join — indeed, it is encouraged, especially for operators intending to join the mainnet upon launch."

Shibarium is just one of the many upcoming initiatives of the Shiba Inu development team.
