Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous lead developer of the dog-themed altcoin Shiba Inu, has dropped a series of exciting details about Shibarium, the ecosystem's upcoming layer-2 solution, including the timeline for its documentation and beta launch.

True to their promise of giving a "passionate speech" and their "opinion on the future of SHIB," the lead developer starred on the Official "Shiba Eternity" Community Discord on Thursday. While the focus was on the incoming collectible card game "Shiba Eternity," Kusama also talked about Shibarium.

Thanks to former Shiba Inu Growth member and social media influencer @GosshipShib, who provided multiple screenshots of the discussion on Discord, the community, especially those unable to participate, now has an idea of what the lead developer talked about in the VoIP and instant messaging platform.

In one of the screenshots, user AlpBey asked about the release of the Shibarium documentation and noted that the community "needs this." To this, Kusama responded, "We understand the need. It's a balance of security, fixing things and the docs will be there. Trust me, I understand."

Another user who goes by the name OneHitCombos asked the lead developer if the previous Q3 release window for the beta launch of Shibarium was no longer possible. To this, Kusama answered, "I'm doing my best not to give dates. But that doesn't mean we won't hit it," seemingly suggesting that a Q3 beta launch is still possible.

In another tweet, GosshipShib shared another screenshot where Kusama said, "almost time." A Discord user pushed the lead developer to divulge more information by clarifying if they were referring to the Shibarium Financial Ecosystem or SHIBFE which is the next component to complete the Shiba Inu ecosystem.

But Kusama gave a one-liner answer, "Shibarium," which received hundreds of reactions. The Shiba Inu development team, especially Kusama, has always been cautious about release dates and maintained vague answers like "soon" or "Q3" or "in 2023" when asked about timelines because they do not want to disappoint fans.

And while the hype surrounding the release of Shibarium is sky high, the majority of the Shib Army, the loyal and fierce members of the Shiba Inu community, understand that the development team wants nothing but the best to benefit everyone, so they are taking their time with every project currently in development to avoid potential issues and disruptions.

SHIB was trading up 5.80% at $0.00001113 with a 24-hour volume of $240,764,433 as of 1:12 a.m. ET Friday, based on the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
