Showtime released the trailer of its highly anticipated TV series, "The First Lady," on Thursday. The show revolves around three very influential first ladies – Michelle Obama (played by Viola Davis), Betty Ford (played by Michelle Pfeiffer) and Eleanor Roosevelt (played by Gillian Anderson).

The one-minute, 53-second trailer opens with Michelle, who looks back at her life and what she has become after living in the White House. "In four years, I want to look back and think: 'What did I become living in that House?'" she says.

Later in the trailer, Michelle can be seen dancing in the kitchen with her husband, Barack Obama (played by O-T Fagbenle). She can also be seen spending quality time with her kids.

Meanwhile, Ford and Roosevelt can be seen dealing with their own individual life crises.

Fans took to the comments section to share their excitement.

One person shared a screenshot from the trailer featuring the name of the actresses and the roles they will be playing in the series. "SO EXCITED!!!!" the user wrote, while another fan commented, "Gillian coming for more of those shinies in #TheFirstLady."

"Omg!!! I cannot wait to see the amazing cast of females in this show!!!" a user wrote. One of the users even suggested that the second season of the series should feature J. Smith-Cameron as Hillary Clinton.

The 10-episode series is slated to air on Showtime from April 17.

"The First Lady" will revolve around the personal lives of these women and how they deal with the political pressure around them. It will also showcase their life in the White House and how it affects their mental health.

The series will also star Lexi Underwood, Kiefer Sutherland, Saniyya Sidney, Regina Taylor, Dakota Fanning and Cayden Boyd.

Davis will be next seen in movies like "The Woman King" and "I Almost Forgot About You." Pfeiffer will be seen in Marvel's highly anticipated movie "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania." Anderson will feature in "White Bird: A Wonder Story" and "The Pale Blue Eye."
