The Reignited Trilogy has been delayed to a Nov. 13 release date. Activision

“Spyro the Dragon: Reignited Trilogy” was scheduled for release next month, specifically on Sept. 21. However, the game’s developer, Toys for Bob, has announced that the remastered trilogy has been delayed to November.

“Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original ‘Spyro’ trilogy after all these years. We're deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of ‘Spyro Reignited Trilogy’ to November 13, 2018,” Toys for Bob co-studio head Paul Yan said in a blog post.

“I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.”

The “Reignited Trilogy” was announced in April and it includes remastered versions of “Spyro the Dragon,” “Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!” and “Spyro: Year of the Dragon.” The game features updated full HD graphics and will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Toys for Bob remade the original trilogy from the ground up and added updated controls and over 100 levels.

The voice actor for Spyro in “Ripto’s Rage!” and “Year of the Dragon,” Tom Kenny, also returned to re-record the dialogues for the “Reignited Trilogy.” Another returning talent is The Police drummer Stewart Copeland, the original composer for the game, according to GameSpot.

Its clear that Toys for Bob is putting a lot of effort in delivering an experience that will meet fans’ expectations. The “Reignited Trilogy” is also an important title for publisher Activision since it has the potential to be as successful as “Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy,” which sold more than 2.5 million copies last year.
