Netflix stirred the curiosity of “Stranger Things” fans in a mysterious tweet shared Wednesday.

The streaming platform posted a photo of an upside-down billboard that read, "Every ending has a beginning." Though the post did not directly mention the show, loyal fans immediately made the connection between the cryptic message and the hit horror drama.

The streaming platform captioned the tweet with a single emoji of a pair of eyes.

Netflix has previously used upside-down messages to promote “Stranger Things,” which debuted in July 2016. In the show, the kids in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, discover an alternate dimension and name it Upside Down.

Fans of the sci-fi horror have been eagerly awaiting news for the season four premiere ever since it was announced in November 2021. It is not surprising that many also expressed their frustration over the long wait and urged Netflix to make the announcement.

“Y’all keep saying the hype is gone but the second a trailer and the season drop it’s all you’re gonna talk about,” a fan replied on the tweet.

“Omg, it's been so long I don't even want to see that show anymore. I really don't care about Stranger Things, and at this point, I would have to binge all the other seasons to remember what happened. Another good show @netflix slept on,” user @Getsetgo said.

Another viewer blamed the streaming platform for the long-overdue release of season 4. “Honestly the momentum for Stranger things is gone, it’s been too long now since the last season,” commentator @FitzLikeAGlove3 tweeted.

In September 2021, Netflix released a teaser clip for season 4. The clip shows a family of four from the 50’s moving into the Victorian Creel house where they're shown to have spooky experiences soon after. Later, Steve (Joe Keery), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Max (Sadie Sink) are seen entering the abandoned Creel house.

“The world is full of obvious things which nobody by any chance ever observes,” Matarazzo said in the clip.

In 2020, creators of the show released a season 4 teaser showing Police Chief Jim Hopper still alive and imprisoned in a distant Russian camp.
