Following a recall over weld issues, Subaru has issued another recall for its Outback vehicles because of an airbag issue that could increase the risk of injury during a crash.

The recall affects 46 2016 to 2017 Outback models that may have a passenger frontal airbag that may not deploy properly because of a replacement airbag module. The replacement airbag module may not be compatible with the passenger airbag module, which could affect deployment during a crash.

To repair the airbag issue, Subaru dealers will replace the passenger airbag module free of charge. Subaru said it expects to begin notifying affected Outback owners on Feb. 14.

Questions about the recall can be directed to Subaru customer service at 1-844-373-6614.

The recall number is WUX-09.
